Job summary

Tosoh Quartz is seeking an Engineering Technician I to collaborate with engineering and machine operators to develop quartz machining processes and ensure high-quality output. You will implement new products and refine existing ones, driving efficiency and reliability in production.

Located in Portland, OR, this on-site role offers a 8:00 am - 4:30 pm schedule, with opportunities to work with engineers and operators across the organization on process improvements, tooling, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production team to promote continuous improvement.
• Review processes and develop training documentation.
• Troubleshoot process quality, safety and output issues.
• Work with engineers to eliminate production problems.
• Design and build production tools and equipment.
• Identify waste in processes and remove it.
• Dispositional of non-conforming material support.
• Support for process and systems improvement projects.
• Interact with vendors and Tosoh resources to meet deliverables.
• Develop structure and systems for the tool crib.
