Job summary

Tosoh Quartz, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, seeks a CNC Operator II to set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC mills, inspect parts to ensure quality, and maintain equipment.

You will produce quartz components, work with process documents, and verify conformance using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. This role supports adherence to specifications in a precision semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years operating CNC machines in manufacturing.
• Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects.
• Ability to read and理解 blueprints.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of Machine Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machining equipment including vertical and horizontal CNC mills.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Produce and detail quartz (glass) parts to conform to specifications.
• Follow process procedures, work orders, drawings and production documents.
• Verify conformance to specification with inspection tools and calibrate equipment.
• Perform detail work such as waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, or cleaning.
• Maintain equipment and perform daily/monthly maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
