Job summary

Bay Cast Technologies LLC in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to provide hands-on support to the engineering and operations team, contributing to process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects on the shop floor.

You will work with supervisors and operators to strengthen manufacturing processes, documentation, and quality, while developing practical skills in data collection, SOP writing, and technical communication.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial or related Engineering field.
• GPA at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
• Able to work 20+ hours per week during the academic semester.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
• CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) is a plus.
• Willing to work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, documentation, and SOPs.
• Update work instructions and SOPs as needed.
• Participate in hands-on plant activities with supervisors and operators.
• Identify inefficiencies and support improvement implementations.
