Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op/Intern to help implement daily operating procedures aimed at improving production, safety, quality, throughput, and cost metrics. The role is split 75% on the production floor and 25% in the office, with 40 hr/wk or 20 hr/wk options for 800 hours total.

The candidate will follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean area, and work with teams to meet schedules and budgets while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS student pursuing engineering or related field with business management exposure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict safety practices and PPE usage.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and mitigate hazards.
• Adhere to manufacturing documentation and procedures.
• Monitor scrap, yield, and part efficiencies to meet budget targets.
• Collaborate with teams to meet daily throughput targets and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to safety projects and actions as needed.
• Assist with cost reduction projects and improve employee engagement.
• Support supervisory tasks like timekeeping and training.
