Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Milwaukee, WI, onsite five days a week. The role requires collaboration with management to develop safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments, and promote a safety culture across fabrication and assembly operations.

Responsibilities include audits, policy development, training, incident investigations, and management of key safety programs. Strong communication and OSHA/EPA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing safety.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and safety software.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail oriented with strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits to identify hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver safety training for employees and management.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage lockout/tagout, confined space, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazard communication, and PIT safety programs.
• Safety Committee collaboration and lead employee meetings.
• Emergency response planning, evacuation protocols, and drills.
