Job summary

JOYALWAYS INVESTMENT CORPORATION in Reidsville, NC is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (EHS Specialist) for a full-time role to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance and a safe workplace in our manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have an EHS background, knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards, and strong communication skills to train staff, perform audits, and drive continuous safety improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in an EHS role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' comp law.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills with levels of organization.
• Ability to develop training materials and facilitate sessions.
• Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and development for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, first aid, CPR, and occupational health topics.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with workers' compensation law.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, root cause analysis findings, and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety.
• Create safety policy’s and develop department from scratch.
