Job summary

CPS, Inc. in Jamestown, NC is seeking an EHS Specialist to join our manufacturing facility. You will work with the EHS team to enhance safety culture and programs, handling compliance, training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HSE, a BS in a related field, strong communication, and a hands-on approach. This role involves site walks, collaboration with operations, and ongoing program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with hazardous materials handling.
• PSM experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Emergency response planning experience a plus.
• Incident investigations, audits and safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site HSE advisor to ensure safety compliance.
• Support air permits, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste regulations.
• Deliver HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Conduct site safety audits and risk assessments.
• Support emergency preparedness and response.
• Drive continuous improvement of HSE programs.
