Job summary

kp in Virginia is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Manager to lead safety programs across our manufacturing facility in Rural Retreat. You will champion a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and implement programs that protect employees and support a safe, healthy, and accident-free workplace.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing safety, and the ability to train managers and staff, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with site teams

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that minimizes or eliminates occupational injuries due to work-related accidents; monitor production floor safety.
• Lead site Safety Team and participate in the Corporate Safety Team in Gordonsville.
• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Train managers and employees in worksite safety practices, fire prevention, and safe working techniques.
• Prepare studies and analyses of plant/site accident causes and hazards and propose corrective actions.
• Inspect facilities to detect hazards and determine corrective measures; follow up to ensure implementation.
• Provide safety information, signs, barriers, and materials to warn of hazards and prevent access to dangerous areas.
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
• Comply with all corporate safety policies and procedures.
• Support circularity and sustainability efforts at the site.
• Perform other assignments to ensure the site delivers exceptional value in products and services.
