Job summary

Sofidel America in Duluth, MN is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead the plant’s safety, health, and environmental initiatives. The role reports to the Regional EHS Manager and drives programs that foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.

You will develop training, perform risk assessments, manage budgets, and coach a team of EHS professionals, while ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and federal/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial environments.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and drive improvements.
• Committed to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety policies and procedures for the facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and corporate policies.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Lead EHS team including coaching and development.
• Manage emergency action plans and security administration.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with insurance on workers' compensation.
• Participate in safety committees.
