Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead the facility's safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental programs at our Duluth, MN site. The role reports to the Regional EHS Manager and focuses on developing training, audits, risk assessments, and budget planning to drive a culture of safety and environmental excellence in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field and 5+ years of industrial EHS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years’ EHS experience in industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, influencing, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update safety policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure site safety.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and corporate guidelines.
• Develop training programs that satisfy legal requirements and reinforce safety.
• Provide safety training to employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Manage emergency action plans for employees and property.
• Provide safety orientation for new employees and visiting contractors.
• Supervise EHS Specialist and provide development and training.
• Serve as safety representative for new equipment and conduct safety audits.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings and communicate with plant and management teams.
