Job summary

Cascade Engineering Technologies is seeking an experienced EHS & HR Specialist to lead our workplace safety program across manufacturing operations. You will ensure OSHA compliance and partner with HR on recruiting and onboarding tasks.

The ideal candidate has a manufacturing safety background, incident investigation skills, and the ability to work with operations leadership to promote a strong safety culture while supporting HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on workplace safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing or independently administering workplace safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting workplace safety inspections, incident investigations, and employee safety training.
• Knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard communication, PPE, and hazard assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's workplace safety program in compliance with federal and Oregon OSHA regulations.
• Develop and continuously improve safety policies and programs.
• Conduct facility safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits to identify unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate employee safety training and new-hire orientations.
• Lead investigations of accidents, injuries, and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and workers' compensation coordination in partnership with HR.
• Oversee safety-related programs such as lockout/tagout and machine guarding.
• Lead safety meetings and communications; drive continuous improvement.
• Support HR with recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.
