Your Employment Solutions is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role emphasizes safety as a core value and offers a stable, daytime schedule Monday–Friday, with occasional after-hours emergencies.

You will implement OSHA- and EPA-compliant safety and environmental programs, train staff, investigate incidents, manage waste programs, and support HAC/HM training and PPE assessments. Join us to protect people and improve site culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or similar required.
• At least 1 year of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour, RCRA Hazardous Waste training, and DOT Hazardous Materials certification.
• U.S. Person; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site-specific safety and environmental programs in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Conduct employee safety training, environmental awareness programs, and emergency response drills.
• Investigate workplace accidents and injuries — identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards before they become incidents.
• Manage the SDS program, including reviewing new chemical products and ensuring affected employees are trained on safe handling.
• Collaborate with supervisors to complete job hazard analyses and PPE assessments.
• Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper disposal and regulatory recordkeeping.
• Assist with Workers' Compensation program coordination and incident reporting.
• Champion facility-wide sustainability efforts including recycling, waste minimization, and pollution prevention.
