Weir Minerals U.S., Inc. seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead regulatory compliance and safety initiatives at Salt Lake City, onsite.

You will develop and maintain EHS programs, advise leadership, and engage frontline teams to reduce risk and promote a strong safety culture. The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing with OSHA/ISO expertise, conducting training and audits, and supporting ISO certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and managing related certifications.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with safety responsibilities.
• Ability to conduct safety training and support compliance audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company SHE policies including OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Advise employees and management on minimizing workplace risks.
• Maintain and update EHS manuals, training materials, and orientation programs. Communicate safety guidelines effectively to all employees to foster a strong safety culture.
• Conduct regular Gemba walks at two manufacturing sites to identify hazards, engage frontline employees, verify compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Analyze EHS data to evaluate safety and environmental practices, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions. Facilitate bi-weekly EHS meetings and review audit results with teams.
• Support new hire safety inductions and manage training programs to ensure all employees meet OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assist site leadership with legal and legislative requirements, internal audits, and ISO certification processes.
