Job summary

Astec is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Manager in Eugene, Oregon to lead a technical engineering team from concept to production, expanding forestry and recycling product lines. You will direct engineering activities, mentor staff, and ensure project alignment with customer requirements and cost targets.

Responsibilities include planning capital investments, introducing automation, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years in progressive leadership roles in engineering.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD for 3D designs.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of plant/industrial engineering and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Plans, Directs, and coordinates maintenance, tooling and manufacturing engineering.
• Assess cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes.
• Oversee plant renovations and expansions with contractors.
• Prepare factory master plan and capital investments.
• Introduce automation and new technology to improve efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team.
• Monitor production data and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the manufacturing engineering budget.
• Provide technical support to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
