Job summary

KLA Milpitas is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Design Engineer to support the manufacturing, integration, and lifecycle of complex semiconductor inspection equipment. You will work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Support, Field Service, Supply Chain, Quality, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.

You will develop test plans, create manufacturing procedures, and maintain documentation while analyzing data to identify trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics or related field.
• Approximately 2 years of related engineering, manufacturing, integration, test, or technical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, document findings, and read technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support introduction, integration, qualification, and ongoing manufacturing of products.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hardware, networking, imaging, and system integration issues.
• Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support engineering changes, obsolescence, part qualification, and configuration updates.
• Develop and execute test plans and qualification requirements.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation and system configuration records.
• Support manufacturing test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focused on quality, reliability, cost, and cycle time.
