Job summary

Neros in California is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to bring complex hardware from concept to high-volume production. You will collaborate across Engineering, Test, and Operations to develop robust processes, tooling, and assembly solutions.

This role requires hands-on engineering, data-driven problem solving, and the ability to influence product design via DFM and DFA principles. You will lead readiness activities through DVT, PVT, and ramp, driving yield, quality, and throughput

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience developing and scaling manufacturing processes for complex electro-mechanical products
• Proven experience leading DFM/DFA efforts to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and throughput
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying manufacturing tooling, fixtures, assembly equipment, and automation
• Strong understanding of SPC, CpK, DOE, tolerance analysis, and root-cause problem solving
• Experience with DVT, PVT, production ramp, and manufacturing validation
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, Creo or equivalent)
• Strong GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturable design requirements
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data and improve yield, cycle time, quality, and OEE
• Experience partnering with Product Design, Test, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations
