Job summary

Neros, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer II to lead production electronics projects from requirements through release. You bring broad experience in mixed-signal and high-speed digital hardware, with a track record of first-pass success and strong ownership of your designs.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across firmware, mechanical, and systems teams, and drive design reviews to ensure reliability and manufacturability at volume.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical hardware design in mixed-signal and high-speed digital systems.
• Track record of taking products from concept to production with first-pass hardware success.
• Proficiency with schematic capture (Altium) and documenting complex designs.
• Strong PCB layout knowledge to meet SI/PI and EMC requirements.
• Experience with DFM, DFT, and EMC/EMI disciplines for volume hardware.
• Proficiency with high-speed serial interfaces (PCIe, MIPI CSI-2, USB 3.x, LVDS).
• Mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on production systems from schematic to verification.
• Translate requirements into hardware specifications.
• Guide PCB layout to meet signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC requirements.
• Conduct worst-case circuit analysis and derating as standard practice.
• Apply DFM, DFT, and DFR across the design lifecycle for reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and sign-off on hardware designs and releases.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote design practices.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams to resolve cross-disciplinary challenges.
