Job summary

The Manufacturing Data Analyst at PPG Industries, Inc. collaborates with operations planning, process engineering and quality at the Delaware, Ohio Plant to improve manufacturing through data-driven insights.

You will ensure data accuracy and develop KPI dashboards while supporting engineering projects and investigations. Requirements include proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of statistics, experience with Tableau or Power BI, familiarity with ERP systems and Lean-SixSigma tools, and a

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience in a data analysis role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel with the ability to maintain complex spreadsheets.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

Maintain the accuracy of automated and manual data reporting systems.
Develop Measurement dashboards to monitor manufacturing performance.
Assist teams by providing data-driven insights for engineering projects and cause investigations.
Occasionally gather data directly from the manufacturing process on the shop floor when data is unavailable or unreliable.
Collaborate with the quality department to ensure data accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
