Job summary

Trova Advisory Group seeks a Manufacturing Cost Accounting Manager in Pleasant Prairie, WI to own manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial analysis. You will manage standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory valuation while supporting ERP system improvements.

We require a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of cost accounting in manufacturing; CPA/CMA and ERP experience are a plus. This is a direct-hire, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, overhead allocation, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Experience with overhead allocation using machine hours and/or labor hours; sub-assembly costing a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Tables, array functions).
• Experience with manufacturing-focused ERP systems (Deacom, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Experience with cycle count programs and inventory accuracy improvements.
• Knowledge of CAPEX analysis, NPV, and IRR.
• CPA or CMA certification and SQL/reporting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead across a large SKU portfolio.
• Perform weekly and monthly manufacturing variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead, yield, production variances).
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Analyze production efficiency, labor utilization, capacity, and manufacturing performance.
• Support and improve the ERP system to ensure accurate costing, reporting, and financial data.
• Partner with Supply Chain on forecasting, MRP, and inventory planning.
• Support annual budgeting with department leaders on resource requirements.
• Evaluate CAPEX investments including NPV and IRR analysis.
• Support general accounting activities and other financial initiatives as needed.
