Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Senior Financial Analyst to join a technology manufacturing client’s finance team in Merrimack County, NH.

The role reports to the Controller and partners with the CFO, operations leadership, and Plant Manager to deliver cost accounting, inventory analysis, and manufacturing performance reporting. The position involves cost roll-ups, variance analysis, budgeting support, financial modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with Accounting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, inventory accounting, or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, and financial close processes.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliations, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and operations teams in an on-site manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, labor utilization, production efficiency, margins, and other operational metrics.
• Partner with Plant Managers and Operations leadership to identify cost reduction opportunities and support process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for manufacturing operations.
• Perform ad hoc financial modeling and business analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.
• Support ERP system enhancements, reporting improvements, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Summary: This role is responsible for cost accounting, inventory analysis, manufacturing performance reporting, budgeting support, and financial analysis to help drive operational efficiency and sound business decision-making. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
