Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a cost accounting professional to support manufacturing operations in cost control, inventory, and financial reporting. The role will handle monthly closings, standard cost rolls, and variance analysis across multiple sites.

Travel about 25–30% is expected. A Bachelor’s in Accounting and 4–6 years of manufacturing accounting experience are preferred, with SAP/OneStream/Blackline familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required or strongly preferred.
• 4–6 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
• Ability to travel 25–30% of the time.
• Experience with SAP, OneStream and Blackline is preferred.
• Strong grasp of cost accounting, product costing, and manufacturing variances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust controls and identify risks in a timely manner.
• Assist in monthly variance analysis (PPV, freight, tariff, material usage, labor, overhead).
• Support monitoring of earned hours, scrap and COGS.
• Monitor work orders and inventory movements.
• Perform monthly closing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Allocate costs accurately across cost centers and GL accounts.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis for production costs.
• Produce monthly productivity reports with accurate data.
• Collaborate to refine reporting tools and templates.
