Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a cost accounting professional to support cost control, inventory management and financial reporting for manufacturing operations. This role executes monthly closings, annual standard cost rolls and inventory controls and interfaces with BU cost managers to drive consistent processes across the segment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 4-6 years manufacturing accounting experience.
• Ability to travel 25-30%.
• SAP, OneStream and Blackline experience is preferred.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting, product costing and variances analysis.
• ERP software (JDE/SAP) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains robust controls and helps identify risks in a timely manner.
• Assists in monthly variance analysis including PPV, freight, tariff, material usage, production order, labor, and overhead variances.
• Supports monitoring of earned hours, scrap and COGS within the business units.
• Monitors work orders and inventory movements throughout the month.
• Completes monthly closing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensures accurate allocation of costs across cost centers and GL accounts.
• Prepares monthly variance analysis of production costs.
• Compiles monthly productivity reports and ensures data accuracy.
• Conducts detailed analysis of operations consumption and discrepancies for corrective action.
• Assists in developing and refining reporting tools for better data visibility.
• Supports annual physical inventories and special projects.
