Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a cost accounting professional to support cost control, inventory management and financial reporting for its manufacturing operations. You will drive monthly closings and standard cost rolls, interfacing with BU cost managers to ensure consistent processes.

The role requires 4–6 years in manufacturing accounting, strong cost/product costing knowledge, and proficiency with SAP/JDE, OneStream and Blackline. Travel up to 25–30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
• 4-6 years manufacturing accounting experience.
• Ability to travel 25-30%.
• Experience with ERP software (JDE/SAP preferred).
• Deep understanding of cost accounting and product costing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain controls across the business and flag risks in a timely manner.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses (PPV, freight, tariff, material usage, labor, overhead).
• Monitor earned hours, scrap and COGS; track work orders and inventory movements.
• Record monthly closing journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Allocate costs across cost centers and GL accounts; analyze production costs.
• Develop and refine reporting tools to improve data visibility and decision-making.
• Support annual physical inventories and special projects as assigned.
