Qualifications

  • Ensure proper system transactions flow aligns with production processes.
  • Develop cost of production forecasts and planning.
  • Support production planning and scheduling to reduce costs.
  • Maintain internal controls for period-end reporting and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide financial support for cost-related projects and cross-train with Finance team.

Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. Role Purpose

The Cost Analyst is highly involved in both the daily and monthly accounting activities, focusing on manufacturing accounting and product costs. This position is actively engaged in collaboration with the Supply & Logistics team to understand production processes and impact on product costs and financial results. Additional responsibilities include expense analysis, support of audits, and other financial initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Participate in closing the financial books at month-end and year-end. This includes ensuring inventory values are correctly stated, reviewing and calculating accruals, and analyzing manufacturing cost variances.

  • Coordinate periodic review of product costs and facilitate update of inventory standard costs as appropriate.

  • Analyze cost variances and cost productions for review with business partners.

  • Ensure appropriate flow of system transaction to align production process

  • Develop cost of production forecast and planning

  • Participate in and provide feedback to production planning and scheduling to obtain low cost solutions.

  • Ensure that internal controls related to period-end reporting are followed. This includes making sure there is timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and preparation of monthly certification files.

  • Review and analyze period expenses and provide financial support to respective departments.

  • Provide support for product cost-related projects.

  • Peer reviews and cross-training with other Finance team members


Experiences/Education


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, required

  • CPA or CMA, preferred

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a related field, preferred

The range for this position is $64,348.00-$88,479.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
