Job summary

WeldFit in Houston, TX seeks a Cost Analyst to own costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis across manufactured products and field service work. This role translates shop floor activity into financial insights for leadership and supports strategic investment decisions.

You will build and maintain cost models, analyze variances, and partner with engineering and production to ensure data integrity and accurate product costing. 4+ years in cost accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years' cost accounting or manufacturing financial analysis experience.
• ERP experience (Infor CloudSuite/SyteLine) with BOM, routing, and W/O flow.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills (Pivot, large data sets).
• Knowledge of US GAAP inventory costing (ASC 330).

Responsibilities

• Maintain costing for material, labor, and overhead; assess P&L impact.
• Develop overhead and labor burden rates; monitor absorption vs spend.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and report P&L impact with operations.
• Review BOMs and routings in ERP; fix errors affecting product cost.
• Own inventory valuation and cycle count reconciliation.
• Produce margin analyses across products and field service.
• Support cost-related quoting and make-vs-buy decisions.
• Build financial models for forecasting and planning.
• Assist with budgeting and data integrity across ERP.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc cost reports for leadership.
