The ideal candidate will oversee costs (materials, labor, overhead), manage close processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and support government contracting requirements (DCAA/FAR).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years’ progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with actual cost accounting, inventory management, and job costing.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and high-quality financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, analyses, and audits.
• Prepare management reports and provide insights to leadership.
• Oversee actual cost accounting, including material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing costs.
• Analyze variances, inventory valuation, WIP, and program profitability.
• Maintain indirect cost rates and support government contract accounting (DCAA/FAR).
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve cost tracking.
• Drive ERP optimization, reporting improvements, and system integration.
