Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to establish and lead a centralized cost accounting function across 13 manufacturing locations. You will develop fully loaded standard costs, ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and robust financial reporting.

You will partner with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and plant leadership to strengthen inventory management, cost analysis, internal controls, and the financial close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with emphasis on manufacturing cost accounting.
• 5 years of supervisory cost experience.
• Experience developing/maintaining standard costing systems in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting physical inventories across multiple facilities.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead centralized Cost Accounting across 13 locations.
• Support close processes, including inventory accounting and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain fully loaded standard costs for all manufactured products.
• Own standard costing methodology for material, labor, overhead, and freight.
• Analyze variances and provide actionable insights on cost drivers.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories and cycle counts across facilities.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve inventory accuracy and costing processes.
• Maintain internal controls per SOX and support external audits.
