Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products, a leading North American building products manufacturer, seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to establish and lead a centralized cost accounting function across 13 manufacturing locations. You will own standard costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting to support audits and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with emphasis on manufacturing cost accounting.
• 5 years of supervisory cost experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining standard costing systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Experience supporting external audits, SOX compliance.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead centralized Cost Accounting across 13 locations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including inventory accounting and journal entries.
• Develop, implement, and maintain fully loaded standard costs for all manufactured products.
• Own the standard costing methodology (material, labor, overhead, freight).
• Analyze variances and provide insights on material usage, labor, overhead, and inventory.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories and cycle counts across facilities.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve costing processes.
• Maintain SOX controls and assist with audits.
