Job summary

Silfex, a Lam Research Company, is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to drive manufacturing cost accounting excellence in a complex production environment. You will own standard costing, variance analysis, and month‑end close while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Finance to translate cost performance into actionable business insights.

The role requires steering cost models, supporting budgets, and leading process improvements to improve data quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
12+ years of progressive experience in accounting/FP&A.
Strong costing, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis.
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

Own development, maintenance, and analysis of manufacturing overhead rates and cost pools.
Analyze variances in purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, yield, scrap, and efficiency.
Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with actionable insights.
Lead or contribute to ad‑hoc projects and process improvements.
