Job summary

Urgo Medical North America is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost and inventory accounting for its manufacturing operation in a fast-growing environment. You will build scalable costing processes, partner with FP&A and Operations, and drive accurate reporting and controls.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred), and a track record of improving cost systems in a startup-like setting. On-site work in Fort Worth, TX is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive manufacturing accounting or cost accounting; seven or more years preferred.
• Knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, cost of goods sold, and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA and relevant costing functionality strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and inventory processes for manufacturing facility, establishing scalable practices that can mature with production volume and organizational growth.
• Build standard-costing architecture, product cost structures, manufacturing accounting procedures, controls, reporting cadence, and documentation from the ground up.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Finance to define end-to-end transaction flows, ownership, master-data requirements, and accounting controls.
• Support ERP configuration, testing, data readiness, and implementation activities related to product costing, inventory, production reporting, bills of materials, routings, work centers, overhead application, and manufacturing transactions.
• Establish practical close, reconciliation, inventory, variance-review, and management-reporting routines that support operations.
• Identify risks, gaps, and process inefficiencies early and implement sustainable solutions rather than temporary workarounds.
