Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Manager of Cost Accounting in Fort Worth, TX to lead manufacturing cost accounting and inventory control. You will build standard costing, BOMs, routings, and drive improvements across startup or expansion environments. Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills are essential.

The role collaborates with FP&A, Operations, and IT to support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and capacity planning, delivering clear financial insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field is required.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing or cost accounting experience; 7+ preferred.
• Strong costing, variance analysis, and month-end close knowledge.
• Experience establishing processes for startups, expansions, or ERP projects.
• Hands-on ERP experience with manufacturing modules; SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI/Power Query experience desired.
• Experience partnering with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
• Background in process manufacturing or regulated industries is a plus.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement cost accounting and inventory processes and controls.
• Develop standard costing methodologies including BOMs and routings.
• Analyze variances and root causes; recommend improvements.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cycles, and COGS.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Support ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and data integrity.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other departments on budgets and KPIs.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools translating data to insights.
• Present results to leadership and international stakeholders.
• Maintain audit readiness and drive scalable processes.
