Job summary

Clean Air Consultants, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support financial reporting, inventory accounting, job costing, and profitability analyses across its manufacturing and service operations.

This role partners with operations and leadership to understand how labor, materials, inventory, and production decisions affect margins. The position requires expertise in standard costing, variances, and BOMs, with responsibilities including month-end close, budgeting support, and KPI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3+ years accounting experience with manufacturing, cost, or inventory accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, variances, COGS, and BOMs.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for products and services and analyze variances.
• Prepare monthly cost accounting reports (labor, material, overhead).
• Analyze margins by product line, customer, project, and location.
• Lead post-project profitability analyses and discuss drivers with stakeholders.
