Job summary

Air Industries Company, a Precision Castparts Corp. subsidiary, seeks a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to bolster our Finance team on a temporary-to-hire path.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, inventory tracking, and accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel, solid accounting knowledge, and experience with standard costing, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or related finance experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred and cost accounting knowledge required.
• Experience with month-end close, GL accounting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute cost roll processes within the ERP system.
• Maintain standard costs, cost structures, and product costing data.
• Support monthly close activities, including JV prep, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial and operational reports.
• Monitor inventory costs, fixed assets, and inventory transactions.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, materials, and overhead allocations.
• Review variances and investigate discrepancies for accurate reporting.
• Assist inventory accounting activities—cycle counts, physical inventories, adjustments.
• Ensure data accuracy through reconciliations and audits; support P&L reporting.
• Provide schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
