Job summary

Leveraged Talent Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze and report manufacturing costs, inventory, product margins, and overall financial performance. The role partners with operations, purchasing, supply chain, and finance to improve cost controls and support business decisions.

The candidate will perform monthly closings related to inventory and COGS, analyze variances, maintain standard costs, and assist with annual budgeting and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing/cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing.
• Experience with D365 is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and lookups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• CPA, CMA, or other professional certification is often preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities related to inventory and manufacturing costs.
• Analyze product costs, labor, overhead, material variances, and manufacturing expenses.
• Maintain and review standard costs; update cost models as needed.
• Prepare inventory valuations, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Investigate variances in purchase price, production, labor, and overhead.
• Prepare monthly cost and variance reports for management.
• Support cost analysis for RFQs and budgeting processes.
• Assist with audits and internal controls in cost accounting.
