Job summary

PiovanGroup is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the Plant Controller in cost analysis, inventory accuracy, and gross margin reporting. The role is based in Franklin, Pennsylvania, and requires collaboration across departments.

The position emphasizes cost control, inventory reporting, and internal control development, with responsibilities spanning month-end closes, audits, and continuous process improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Strong communication skills to work with multiple departments and locations.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide month-end financial reports.
• Assist in financial planning of the organization.
• Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and analyze variances.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures for cost accounting.
• Perform physical inventory control and reporting.
• Assist with cycle counts and analyze cost accounting data.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with focus on sales, costs, inventory and liabilities.
• Execute gross margin analysis and report findings.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
