Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Accountant to support cost and general ledger accounting in a hybrid, Virginia-based role. You will track capital expenditures, analyze results, and assist AR/AP while ensuring accurate monthly closings.

The ideal candidate has a 2+ year accounting background, strong ERP skills (Oracle preferred), and comfort with Excel, Power BI, and SQL. CPA or candidacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of general ledger accounting or public accounting audit experience.
• Experience with cost accounting, fixed assets, and standard costing systems preferred.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience; CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track and report on capital expenditures.
• Assist in analyzing and validating financial results.
• Support AR and AP accounting functions.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues as they arise.
• Assist in maintaining the standard costing system; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and ad hoc reports.
