Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks a Cost Accountant to support costing, fixed assets, and general ledger, with a strong focus on inventory and month-end closings. You will prepare reconciliations, track capital expenditures, and collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least two years of GL or public accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of general ledger accounting or public accounting audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the company’s standard costing system.
• Track and report on capital expenditures.
• Analyze and validate financial results.
• Support AR and AP functions as needed.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
