Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr Cost Accountant to own cost and inventory accounting for manufacturing operations in a hybrid role. You will manage standard costing, BOM and routing reviews, and reconcile variances with Operations and Finance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 6+ years of related experience, with Oracle ERP proficiency and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of accounting experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and COGS; experience with BOM/routing reviews and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor product costing, including standard costs, BOMs, labor, and overhead rates.
• Analyze manufacturing and inventory transactions for accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Support monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory/cost reporting.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers and improve costing processes.
