Job summary

The Senior Accountant at American Geothermal, part of the Swegon Group, will lead cost accounting, oversee inventory valuation, and strengthen financial controls in a manufacturing setting. You will standardize core accounting processes, support month-end closes, and deliver actionable reporting on product profitability and cost trends to drive operational improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience designing internal controls and process improvements.
• Hands-on, proactive, able to build structure from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing development and updates.
• Own month-end close and ensure accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations and analysis.
• Design and strengthen internal controls over inventory, costing, revenue and expenses.
• Standardize end-to-end processes: order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory and production accounting.
• Develop actionable reporting on product profitability, cost trends and operational drivers.
• Enhance financial analytics including margin analysis and forecasting.
