Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Manufacturing & Controls Engineer in the United States (New York). You will collaborate on projects across the facility, delivering mechanical, electrical, and system design, and updating process and work instructions.

The role includes developing SME expertise for assembly equipment and processes and supporting safety, environmental, and quality objectives. You will travel to supplier sites for qualification, lead smaller development projects, and work with cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to design pneumatic and hydraulic systems and interpret related schematics.
• Ability to access and edit machine PLC code using RSLogix/Studio 5000 (Allen-Bradley).
• 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience with SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross‑functional teams to modify existing equipment.
• Function as a Project Lead on smaller development projects with business impact.
• Provide technical support for plant operations including maintenance and capital projects.
• Prepare project reviews for leadership at defined frequencies.
• Implement process changes and assist with expansion equipment installation.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality requirements are met in processes and equipment.
• Communicate with plant staff to align project focus and resolve production barriers.
• Develop equipment statements of work and acceptance test plans.
• Travel to supplier sites for equipment qualification and testing.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
