Job summary

Clarios is seeking an engineer to continuously improve plant processes and equipment. You will drive PLC changes, support maintenance and capital projects, and collaborate with division engineering to align on requirements and reporting.

Ideal candidates have a manufacturing engineering background, hands-on PLC experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design improvements that reduce downtime and ensure product quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
Minimum 1 year of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 1 year of experience with PLC programming and ladder logic.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Improve plant processes and equipment including design and PLC changes.
Lead plant teams in the development of process improvements.
Provide technical support for plant operations including maintenance and capital projects.
Act as liaison between plant and division engineering personnel on needs and reporting.
Monitor process and equipment to ensure performance to specifications and implement projects.
Work with quality control to ensure products meet standards.
Review specifications and schedule their introduction into the manufacturing system.
Identify causes and develop strategies to eliminate recurring downtime.
