Job summary

Clarios in Illinois is seeking a Manufacturing & Controls Engineer to join the facility team. You will deliver mechanical, electrical, and system design, develop process changes, and update work instructions for assembly processes and equipment.

You will lead small to mid-size projects, support plant operations with maintenance and capital projects, and collaborate with Safety, Environmental, and Quality teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and machine PLC code.
• Experience designing pneumatic and hydraulic systems and schematics.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to mid-size projects impacting business objectives.
• Provide technical support for plant operations including maintenance and capital projects.
• Develop equipment specs, test plans, and installation/qualification activities.
• Update process flow charts and PFMEA documentation.
• Travel to supplier sites for equipment qualification and testing.
• Partner with Safety, Environmental and Quality teams to meet requirements.
• Communicate with operators to align project focus and resolve production barriers.
• Create statements of work and acceptance tests for equipment.
• Serve as SME on assembly equipment and processes.
