Jobot is seeking a hands-on Controller to join a family-oriented manufacturing company in Cajah's Mountain, NC. This on-site, permanent role reports to senior financial leadership and offers a clear path to CFO with a collaborative culture and strong work‑life balance.

You will manage monthly close, cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting for a manufacturing operation, oversee payroll-related accounting, and partner with operations and HR to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory accounting.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly and work effectively across departments.
• Hands-on mentality with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Interest in professional growth and expanded leadership responsibilities.
• Candidates with Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Manage monthly close activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger transactions, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain balance sheet accuracy and support internal accounting controls.
• Support manufacturing cost accounting and inventory-related accounting activities.
• Analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
• Oversee payroll‑related accounting and collaborate with HR as needed.
• Work with internal teams to improve financial reporting, data accuracy, and accounting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as responsibilities expand.
• Partner with leadership on accounting and operational initiatives.
