Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Controller will manage a small team, close monthly periods, and partner with Operations to optimize costing, inventory, and reporting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules prepared by the Accountant.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and inventory reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, production costs, and inventory movements.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve inventory accuracy and costing processes.
• Support NetSuite ERP implementation as finance lead, including process design and testing.
• Develop accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes within NetSuite.
• Drive automation and continuous process improvements across the finance function.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Assist with sales tax, property tax, and other compliance filings as needed.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the Accountant.
• Build scalable accounting processes to support growth.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
