Job summary

CFS, a well-established manufacturing company in Indiana, seeks a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and provide financial leadership across the organization. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with leadership on strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading all accounting and financial reporting, managing AP/AR, monthly close, reconciliations, payroll postings, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Previous experience as a Controller or accounting leadership role.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• ERP experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Oversee monthly close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review payroll postings and related accounting entries.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile transactions from multiple sales channels and e-commerce platforms.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury-related activities.
• Analyze inventory and collaborate with purchasing and operations teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
• Coordinate year-end reporting and work with external auditors and advisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
