Job summary

London Approach seeks a hands-on Financial Controller to lead core accounting and financial operations in a manufacturing setting. Reporting to the CFO, you will own month-end close, prepare financial statements, and partner with production teams to capture costs and variances.

You will also guide audits, treasury activities, and multi-site accounting in a lean environment. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Controller-level experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of Controller-level or progressive accounting experience.
• Strong manufacturing accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Strong general ledger and journal entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the monthly month-end close process.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages.
• Provide cost accounting expertise for manufacturing operations.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to capture production costs and analyze variances.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other GL activities.
• Pull data from the ERP and use Excel for financials and analysis.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Support audits and tax-related requests.
• Oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance.
• Manage treasury activities and capital expenditures, including depreciation.
• Support budgeting and provide financial analysis to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Collaborate with IT and business to automate financial processes.
• Manage multi-location and multi-divisional accounting transactions.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to management.
• Supervise accounting team members and lead the function.
