Job summary

Walker Products is seeking a Controller to direct all accounting operations, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, and lead financial reporting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. You will partner with executive leadership to analyze financial performance and drive process improvements.

This role focuses on strengthening internal controls, managing ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic preferred), and overseeing cost allocations, budgeting, and audits with a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced cost accounting and inventory accounting expertise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP financial modules (Epicor, SAP, Oracle).
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Oversee standard costing, BOMs, and cost allocations in manufacturing.
• Develop internal controls and coordinate external audits.
