Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm is looking for a Controller to ensure compliance with financial practices and enhance operational efficiency. This role involves managing financial statements, overseeing cost accounting, and collaborating with supply chain and plant managers. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, a degree in accounting or finance, and expertise in financial systems like Epicor. This position offers a salary range of $150,000-$180,000 and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing.
• Strong background in job cost accounting and inventory management.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and consolidated reporting.
• Lead month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all plants.
• Manage inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Proficiency with QuickBooks

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Strong understanding of revenue recognition

Strong interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

MBA or CPA preferred

Tools

Epicor ERP/MRP system

Microsoft Access
