Job summary

Taylor White is seeking a hands-on Controller in Central Florida for a high-impact, ongoing role in a growing manufacturing company. This onsite position offers a structured succession plan and a chance to modernize inventory accounting with automation to enhance financial data use.

You will lead month-end close, partner with operations, and build a small accounting team while working with senior leadership on budgets and targets. CPA preferred but not required; MBA a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• MBA is a plus; CPA preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience with inventory costing and reporting is required.
• Proven experience leading month-end close and preparing financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools is strongly preferred.
• Process improvement mindset with a track record of automating manual work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a creative reporting design sense.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Travel monthly to a regional facility to lead close meetings with plant operations.
• Oversee payables and receivables to keep them accurate and controlled.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small accounting team across multiple locations.
• Perform daily inventory and system reconciliations for accuracy.
• Support year-end audits with outside firms and coordinate financial statements.
• Design automated dashboards and reports to improve visibility and efficiency.
