Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Manufacturing Compounder for our Chatsworth, CA location. The role offers pay of $25.00-$28.00 per hour with flexible schedules (Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday) and opportunities to contribute to a growing team in a professional setting.

You will review batch sheets, weigh ingredients, mix using tanks and mixers, monitor process parameters, and ensure quality and GMP compliance while collaborating with pre-weighing, QC, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with compounding, batching, or mixing preferred.
• Ability to read batch sheets and manufacturing formulas.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in measurements.
• Familiarity with GMP and safety procedures.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Review batch sheets, formulas, and manufacturing instructions before production.
• Weigh and measure raw materials according to batch specs.
• Mix and blend ingredients using manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor temperature and processing times.
• Ensure batches meet quality and consistency standards.
• Collect samples for quality control testing.
• Record ingredient usage and production data accurately.
• Identify and report discrepancies or equipment issues.
• Clean and sanitize tanks and equipment per procedures.
• Follow GMP and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with pre-weighing, QC, and production teams to meet schedules.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Review batch sheets, formulas, and manufacturing instructions before beginning production.
• Weigh and measure raw materials and ingredients according to batch specifications.
• Mix and blend ingredients using manufacturing equipment, including tanks, mixers, and agitators.
• Monitor temperature, mixing times, and other processing parameters as required.
• Follow established procedures to ensure batches meet quality and consistency standards.
• Collect samples for quality control testing when required.
• Record ingredient usage, batch information, processing steps, and production results accurately.
• Identify and report discrepancies, equipment issues, or product quality concerns.
• Clean and sanitize tanks, utensils, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow GMP, safety requirements, and proper handling procedures for raw materials and chemicals.
• Coordinate with pre-weighing, quality control, and production teams to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous compounding, batching, or mixing experience in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Experience following batch sheets and manufacturing formulas preferred.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients.
• Familiarity with GMP and manufacturing safety procedures.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial mixing equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
